Those who follow our content will know that we try to do something other than the standard advertising format. And today is no different, as one of our lovely guests wrote a short poem about her experience at the reserve.
All the leaves are green, and the sky is a deep, foreboding grey. I went for a leisurely walk with free-roaming elephants today, enjoying the crunch of the fallen leaves beneath our feet. The elephant, with its keen sense of smell, couldn’t quite tell if it was going to rain, so we kept on walking, hoping these grey skies would fade away and reveal a brighter, sunnier day. The air was crisp and cool, carrying the scent of damp earth. Then we stopped by a serene pond, its calm waters reflecting the grey sky above, and those grey skies suddenly turned to a brilliant blue, as if the sun had burst through the clouds. So we pressed on to the mud spa, which was really cool, with its warm, squishy mud and soothing atmosphere. It seemed like we spent hours there; time passed by so fast, relaxing and rejuvenating, feeling the stress and tension melt away, as we watched the elephants play.
It was the perfect way to end our trip to Thailand.
