Privacy

All personal details provided by customers are used for contact and booking purposes only. Freedom Elephant Reserve collects only the personal data deemed necessary to complete the booking and visit process. This data includes the visitor’s name/s, email address, phone number, and address of accommodation in Thailand (if applicable). Personal data collected by Freedom Elephant Reserve may be kept from the time of booking until your visit has concluded unless such data is required for taxation or reporting purposes. Freedom Elephant Reserve does not store visitor financial data such as credit or debit card information.

LIABILITY

Freedom Elephant Reserve acts only as an operator. Transportation companies, hotels, and all other contractors are separate entities, and therefore, we will not be held responsible for any loss, damages accidents, change of schedule, or other irregularities caused or arising from circumstances beyond their control, Freedom Elephant Reserve, also reserves the right to change the itinerary with or without notice if found in the best interest of all concerned.

TOUR PRICE

Ethereal Elephant Walk programs include a Transfer from your Hotel (fees may apply), and a minimum of two guests must book to receive transportation service., An English-speaking guide, water, tea and coffee, and accident insurance – a copy of the passport number is required for the insurance provider.

CHILD RATES

Child prices apply to those aged 4 to 10 years.

INFANT RATES

Infants 3 years or younger are free of charge for all programs unless otherwise stated when booking.

EXCLUDED FROM THE TOUR PRICE

Expenses other than those specified in each tour itinerary e.g. additional meals, liquor, excess baggage charges, tips, personal or baggage insurance, cable, telephone or communications charges, or any items of a personal nature are not included in the price quoted.

Payment

FULL PAYMENT must be received before we confirm your booking. We reserve the right to cancel all reservations and services for the booking in question without prior notice.

Once full payment has been received and your reservation has been confirmed, you are required to produce a copy of the confirmation to Freedom Elephant Reserve upon your arrival, or to our driver when picking you up from your chosen pick-up location.

This can be either a picture on your phone, tablet, or other device, or a paper copy.

Are accepted by PayPal by logging into your PayPal account or by selecting “Pay as guest” on the PayPal login page once you have submitted your order request, or in person. In-person incurs a 5% surcharge which is non-refundable.

Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

Change of Date

Customers may change the date of their experience as long as they advise Freedom Elephant Reserve Phuket by 5 pm the day before their experience.  Guests who notify us past this point are still welcome to change but will need to pay an additional transport fee as once we have paid the transport provider, they will not allow us to swap the date, and therefore, we lose any money paid for their service due to your change of date.

CANCELLATION POLICY

No refunds shall be given for any reason.

In the case of sickness, you can provide a medical certificate, and we will try to move you to an alternative date, however, the cancellation policy still applies should you not be able to attend. You will also incur the fees lost to the taxi service, and you will need to pay an additional fee for transfer.

There is a limit to the number of guests on each trip, and we are often fully booked, so a reschedule may not be possible at short notice.

DONATIONS

ELEPHANT

Donations received for elephant food will be used to purchase fruit, vegetables, or grass for our next food order.

Donations received for medical supplies will be used as and when needed so as not to waste any of the supplies due to them going past their used-by date.

Donations received for our next rescue. i.e., a large one-time donation will be advised on what stage we are at with our funding “pot” and will receive updates on the status of the “pot” and how far away we are from being able to rescue our next elephant. 

Animal Shelters

We provide food for animal shelters and stray cats and dogs in Phuket. Sadly, they’re often overlooked and do not receive as much attention as they deserve. Therefore, we will collect any donations received, and then once every three months, visit an animal shelter and provide them will large bags of dry food. 

If we see or hear of an injured cat or dog or one that has had medical treatment and the owner cannot afford to cover the medical expenses, we may choose to offer any donations we have in the “pot” to assist with the cover of the treatment.

Community Projects

We provide seeds, clothing, food, and educational tools to rural communities. Sadly, they are also often overlooked and do not receive much support. This is why we only visit once every three months to allow the “pot” to build up so we can go and provide a village with what you have donated.

We provide clothing, shoes, food, and educational tools to rural communities. This is also a group that is forgotten and does not receive much support. This is why we only visit once every three months to allow the “pot” to build up so we can go and provide an orphanage with what you have donated.
