It’s been wall-to-wall sunshine these past few days at Freedom Elephant Reserve, with lots of happy memories being made here at the reserve.
When there are no guests, our herd enjoys playing in the mud and pool to stay cool in the midday sun. Only this time, something didn’t feel right with the herd, and then, we realized that we hadn’t seen their best friends, the water buffalo, today!
Where could they be, they thought. So they set off to the buffalo’s favorite spot next to the river, but they were not there. Then, the new jungle area, and they weren’t either, but they did find two new friends who had come from Singapore and Australia, who were kind enough to bring some bananas, and to help our herd look for their best friends.
After some time of looking, with no luck in finding the buffalo, their new friends have to leave. After saying goodbye to their new friends, they set off once more, this time heading to the lake, and finally, they were reunited with their good friends, the water buffalo. Where they splashed about in the water with excitement.
